My Unstoppable And Unexpected Journey into SEO

Before 2013, I, Amber, had never even heard of SEO. My introduction to this world was purely by chance, and it’s a story that still surprises me today.

The Beginning of My Passion

I’ve always been passionate about reading. As a child, I would devour books, articles, and magazines, always eager to learn something new.

One day, while flipping through a magazine, US by The News, I came across an article about monetizing websites through Google Ads. This was a completely new concept for me, and it sparked a curiosity that I couldn’t ignore.

At the time, I had a simple blog on Blogger, where I shared my love for cooking. I had a vast collection of recipes from various chefs, and I posted them regularly. The idea that I could earn from something I loved doing was both exciting and unbelievable.

My First Step Towards Google AdSense

After reading that article, I immediately applied for a Google AdSense account. To my surprise, within a few days, my account was approved!

I was thrilled and eagerly waited for the earnings to roll in. But days passed, and nothing happened. I couldn’t figure out what went wrong.

The Realization and Breakthrough

Around the same time, I began writing for well-known publications like Dawn and Dalda ka Daster Khan. I also joined several freelancing groups and promoted my blog, hoping to attract readers and, eventually, income. That’s when I started hearing about SEO.

As I interacted with more people, I received feedback about my blog. Several people reviewed my site and gave me an honest opinion: “You’ve launched it without proper planning, so ranking it now would be tough.”

It hit me hard, but I wasn’t one to give up. I dived deep into SEO, learning strategies, understanding website optimization, and familiarizing myself with the ever-changing Google algorithms.

And finally, I did it. I ranked my website! Not only did it start earning, but I can proudly say that my site became unbeatable, weathering all the major Google updates without a hitch.

Offering Services and Expanding

Once I got a solid grasp of SEO, I decided to take it to the next level. I began offering my services on various freelancing platforms, and soon, I became a Level 2 and Level 4 seller on two different sites.

My confidence grew as I helped others succeed with their online presence, and I saw the potential of what I could build for myself.

In addition to freelancing, I created an Amazon affiliate blogs, applying my SEO expertise to drive traffic and generate income.

This blog became a significant source of revenue, and eventually, I flipped it for a handsome profit, further solidifying my skills in both SEO and digital entrepreneurship.

Stepping into E-commerce

In 2022, I enrolled in the iSkills E-commerce training program and started my own online store. This was a completely new world, combining my SEO knowledge with e-commerce strategies. The journey was challenging, but it was rewarding to see my store grow.

One of the aspects I truly enjoyed in e-commerce was working on Meta Ads (formerly Facebook Ads).

It’s a fascinating platform that allowed me to dive deeper into targeting and customer acquisition strategies, and I found it quite exciting to see the direct impact of well-optimized ad campaigns on my store’s performance.

2024: A New Chapter Begins

Now, in 2024, I’ve set my sights on the next big venture – starting my own digital marketing agency. With years of experience, knowledge, and hard-earned skills, I’m ready to take on new challenges and help businesses thrive in the digital world.
